‘Laboratory No. 2’ to participate in GAIFF

Iranian-Iraqi doc ‘Laboratory No. 2’ is to participate in the Golden Apricot Yerevan Int'l Film Festival in Armenia.

Iranian-Iraqi documentary ‘Laboratory No. 2’ has made its way to the 19th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival (GAIFF) in Armenia.                           

‘Laboratory No. 2’ by Edris Abdi and Awara Omar will take part in the Apricot Stone section of the festival.

The film tells the story of “an old man who has been working in the autopsy department of Sulaymaniyah University of Medical Sciences for 14 years”.

“During the 14 years, he worked on a corpse. He finally retires. Finally he decides that...,” a synopsis for the film reads.

Earlier report said Iranian film ‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’ will also take part in the Armenian event.

The Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival aims to “to build bridges and foster dialogue between different cultures”, website of the event reads.

The GAIFF “welcomes films representing diverse ethnic groups, religions, and nations that depict the human experience”.

The 19th edition of the festival will take place on July 10-17.
